Our client, Windsor Regional Hospital (WRH), is seeking a Chief, Department of Emergency Medicine.
WRH is a multi-faceted health services organization operating from two main sites, the Metropolitan Campus and the Ouellette Campus. With 600 beds and an operating budget of half a billion dollars, WRH is the regional provider of advanced care in complex trauma, renal dialysis, cardiac care, stroke and neurosurgery, intensive care, acute mental health, family birthing, neonatal intensive care, paediatric services, and regional cancer services. WRH provides a broad range of medical and surgical services required to support these specialized areas for more than 400,000 people in Windsor and Essex County.
The Emergency Medicine Team provides high quality care to a diverse mixture of clinical cases at the two hospital campuses providing care for over 87,000 ED patient visits per year.
Successful candidates will be CCFP-EM, or ABEM, or FRCPC certified, or CCFP certified with Emergency Medicine experience, and must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. CPSO pathway licensure is easily available for US Board Certified Physicians.
