Primary Care

An excellent opportunity is available for family physicians to join the Port McNeill Health Care Centre, an integrated primary care practice. The primary care team includes family physicians, a primary care nurse, social worker, community office assistant and a scheduler. To ensure patient care and follow-up is well coordinated, primary care services are linked to all other Island Health programs (MHSU, HCC, Public Health, nutrition, and diabetes education). The scope of practice includes community practice, ER, and remote outreach clinic visits via road, ferry and helicopter.

Remuneration:  Fee for Service with projected annual earnings of $350,000 and portion of both $225,000 Medical On-Call Availability Program (MOCAP) and $200,000 Rural Emergency Enhancement Fund (REEF) shared by group.  An attractive range of rural benefits may also be available including recruitment incentive and support with relocation costs.

Port McNeill is home to a lively arts community and offers a wide range of year-round recreational activities, including sport fishing, windsurfing, scuba diving and wildlife viewing.

Satisfy your quest for outdoor adventure while enjoying a rewarding practice experience.
