Dr. Amy Gausvik is a rural family doctor in the community of Eden Valley, Bearspaw Nation, which is a member of the Stoney Nakoda Nation in Treaty 7.
She is the medical lead for the Alberta Indigenous Virtual Care Clinic. She is also passionate about rural obstetrics and provides maternity care in the town of High River and teaches the ALARM program to improve outcomes in obstetrics. Dr. Gausvik is a devoted educator and is a clinical assistant professor at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, and program director for the Enhanced Skills in Maternal-Newborn Care residency program.
