Dr. Erika Dempsey completed her medical degree at the University of Alberta and her training in internal medicine and geriatric medicine at the University of British Columbia. In 2014, she came to Calgary, where she is currently a clinical assistant professor with the University of Calgary.
Dr. Dempsey’s interest in education has led to roles as the Co-chair for Neurosciences, Aging and Special Senses (Course 5) at the Cumming School of Medicine and as the Associate Program Director for the Geriatric Medicine Residency Training Program. Her clinical practice involves in-patient consultation at Peter Lougheed Hospital and the out-patient clinic at the Seniors Health Clinic. Dr. Dempsey is also the medical co-lead for the Fracture Liaison Service in Alberta. She has numerous clinical interests including osteoporosis.
