Dr. Sarah McQuillan went to Queens University for her undergraduate degree in Honours Life Sciences and French before going to medical school and residency in Hamilton at McMaster, which is where she had the privilege of working for five years to become a Obstetrician/Gynecologist.
She then travelled to Australia to complete a pediatric and adolescent gynecology fellowship in Melbourne, which was a tempting place to set up root. However, her family had moved to Calgary and she was lucky enough to come on as Associate Clinical Professor as both a generalist and pediatric and adolescent gynecologist.
Dr. McQuillan is now the Program Director for the PAG fellowship. She has published many articles on PAG on transition of care to adulthood, fertility and congenital anomalies. Dr. McQuillan is currently working on setting up a fertility preservation program at the Alberta Children’s Hospital for Alberta and streamlining the care of anorectal malformations in Alberta, often associated with concurrent urogenital anomalies.
