Glenn McAthey has been in the insurance business for 37 years, the past 27 of which have been with the Alberta Medical Association.

He is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight of the AMA’s proprietary group insurance programs – Disability, Professional Overhead Expense, Term Life, Critical Illness and AMA Health Benefits Trust Fund. He oversees the AMA’s endorsed Home and Automobile (TD Insurance Meloche Monnex) and Commercial Office Insurance (Westland Affinity Group Insurance Services) insurance programs; ensuring they provide exceptional value and service for AMA members. He also works closely with the Professional Association of Resident Physicians of Alberta in the AMA’s administration of the PARA Group Disability and Life Insurance plans.

Glenn is an AMA representative on the national Insurance and Wealth Management Alliance where other provincial medical associations and MD Financial Management work cooperatively to provide members with unparalleled products and services through salaried representatives.

In addition to his managerial responsibilities, Glenn maintains his Life and Accident & Sickness licensing as well as his Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Life Underwriter, Certified Health Insurance Specialist and Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designations. Glenn provides support to ADIUM’s three insurance advisors, Mr. Ben Wu and Ms Delicia Drever in Calgary and Ms Kelly Guest in Edmonton.
