Laura-Leigh McKenzie is an educator with Waste & Recycling Services at the City of Calgary. In this role, she regularly interacts with the community, providing information and resources to assist Calgarians in reducing waste. With a master’s degree in environment and sustainability, Laura-Leigh is passionate about the role that businesses across different sectors play in creating a more sustainable future that balances environmental, economic and social interests.

She is also an avid storyteller and enjoys writing about inspiring initiatives that small businesses and non-profits have undertaken to advance sustainability within their operations and the community at large.
