Giselle Tucker Belliveau is a medical student at the University Alberta. She was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica before immigrating to Canada to pursue post-secondary education. She has a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Nuclear Medicine from the University of New Brunswick and a Master of Health Studies in Leadership from Athabasca University. Giselle previously worked as a nuclear medicine technologist and site lead.
Her current interests include pain management, neurology and radiological applications in diagnostics and therapeutics. Giselle is passionate about patient-centred care, health care leadership, and equity and diversity in health care. In her first year of medical school, Giselle holds roles as the AMA Junior Representative for the University of Alberta, the AMA Student Board Observer for 2022 and as the Vice-President Social and Marketing for the Black Medical Students’ Association at the University of Alberta.
In her free time, Giselle enjoys spending time watching movies with her husband and two cats, doing Zumba, and finding something good to eat.
