Last year, physicians asked for a channel to share their experiences directly with the AMA. We heard you, and we’re pleased to introduce Report My Story, a secure, simple text line designed exclusively for AMA members.

This tool empowers you to share real-time insights from your practice – whether you're facing challenges, witnessing gaps in care or celebrating moments of success. Your stories help shape stronger advocacy for more resources, better compensation and more effective government relations.

How it works

  • Text 587-401-9591 to share your story – no app required. Just save the number to your contacts for quick access.
  • Messages are reviewed by AMA Public Affairs. You’ll receive a response within a few days. 
  • If additional follow-up or conversations are needed, we’ll connect with you by phone or email.
  • For security, the text line is unable to receive photos or videos. If you’d like to share visuals with us, we’ll follow up with you by email to obtain them.
  • To verify your membership, we’ll ask for your surname and the last three digits of your AMA ID.
