Mansi Desai is a medical student at the University of Alberta with a background in emergency medicine and pediatric intensive care nursing. Throughout her career, she has contributed towards research in harm reduction, de-prescribing, multiple sclerosis and diabetes, helping to advance evidence-based patient care.
Mansi is passionate about pediatric health and advocating for equitable health care access. She is particularly dedicated to empowering the south Asian community through culturally competent health care initiatives, working to increase health literacy and promote preventative care. With her combined experience in clinical practice, research, and community engagement, Mansi strives to create a health care system where all individuals feel supported, heard and confident in managing their health.
