Sana Samadi is a medical student at the University of Alberta. She is also the elected provincial governance representative of the class of 2027 at the U of A. She is the main liaison between the AMA and the medical student body. Sana acts as the current AMA Board of Directors MSA Observer, where she contributes to board discussions and advocates for the student body. Through her role, she has founded and leads the AMA Advocacy through Social Media Committee, where she works with a team to produce content depicting the perspectives of medical students on important health care issues relevant to Alberta.
Sana obtained her B.Sc. in microbiology and immunology from the University of British Columbia. She has prior research experience in various areas including studies on the spinal cord, tuberculosis and the placenta. In the future, she aspires to delve into the fields of dermatology, internal or emergency medicine.
