Sana Samadi is a dedicated medical student at the University of Alberta where she serves as the elected Provincial Governance Representative for the class of 2027. In this role, she acts as the main liaison between the Alberta Medical Association (AMA) and her peers, ensuring effective communication and advocacy for the student body. Sana previously served on the AMA Board of Directors from 2023 to 2024, where she contributed to board discussions and represented the interests of medical students.
Following her term on the board, she continues her involvement as the president and founder of the AMA Medical Student Advocacy Committee. Under her leadership, the committee produces social media content and articles for the newly launched amamedicalstudent.org, showcasing medical students’ perspectives on health care issues in Alberta. Sana played a pivotal role in designing and developing the website and assembled a committee to gather articles for its launch.
She now supports the executive team in managing the committee’s activities and acts as a liaison between the committee and the AMA administration, fostering collaboration and engagement
