Sheena Stewart is an Edmonton-based writer and communications strategist who has worked with the AMA in various capacities for more than 20 years, including work on initiatives such as Many Hands and Community Connections.
Her experience spans a wide variety of industries, including the health, financial, technology and education sectors and includes editorial and profile writing, brand development and marketing copywriting. In addition to her work with the AMA, her portfolio includes assignments for clients such as ATB Financial, the Government of Alberta, e4c, the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation and the University of Alberta.
Storytelling is an integral part of the writing process and Sheena often interviews individuals to capture their experiences and insights. Over the years, she has interviewed dozens of AMA members and considers the opportunity to speak with people and share their personal stories to be a privilege.
In her personal time, Sheena keeps busy with chauffeuring her son to hockey games and lessons, tracing her Scottish genealogy and jotting down ideas for a children’s book series that is slowly taking shape.
