During her past four years with the AMA, Vanda has developed communications strategies and products for several AMA programs, including the AMA Youth Run Club, the Emerging Leaders in Health Promotion grant program, the Physician & Family Support Program and dr2dr Secure Messaging. In support of these and other external stakeholder partner projects, Vanda regularly contributes content (articles and advertisements) to Alberta Doctors’ Digest and to the AMA website.

As a senior member of Public Affairs, Vanda assists with correspondence, speechwriting, response and management of public and member phone/email inquiries and the gathering of content for News for Docs. In a communications capacity, Vanda serves on the Youth Run Club Steering Committee and the Health Issues Council and is editor of AMA Section News.

In more than 30 years in communications, Vanda has played a key role in the delivery of creative, strategic communications and marketing efforts in support of diverse projects and industries in Alberta and British Columbia, including Alberta SuperNet, the Eastern Alberta Transmission Line, the forestry industry in BC, the Canadian Patient Safety Institute and the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission, to name a few.
