In 2001, Jodie completed residency in adult psychiatry at the University of Saskatchewan and a graduate diploma in bioethics from Monash University in Melbourne. Since then, she has worked part-time in a general adult psychiatry private practice in Calgary, Alberta.

For the past four years, she has also been offering intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy, in which she is currently obtaining advanced training. Jodie has enjoyed pursuing her interest in mental health ethics through serving on Alberta Health Services’ Mental Health and Addictions Ethics Committee from 2008-2018. In July 2018, she joined the Alberta Medical Association’s Physician and Family Support Program as an assessment physician.
